Moving House
If you are moving out from a property in Carlisle City
Council's area you should let us know so that we can make the
necessary adjustments to your bill.
If you are moving in to a property in Carlisle City Council's
area you should let us know as soon as possible so that we can send
you a bill and spread the payments for as long as possible.
You can inform us of your move by doing one of the
following:
Moving Out
We will need some or all of the following information depending
upon the circumstances:
- Your name and present address
- The date you are moving
- Your new address
- A daytime telephone number and/or e-mail address
- If the property was owned or rented
- Date of sale
- Name(s) of new resident(s)
- Whether the property is furnished
- Tenancy dates
- Name and address of landlord or agent
- Names of any tenants remaining after you have moved out
Moving in
We will need some or all of the following information depending
upon the circumstances:
- Your name and address you are moving to
- The date you are moving
- Your old address
- A daytime telephone number and/or email address
- If the property is owned or rented
- Date of sale
- Number of adults (over 18) in the property
- Whether the property is furnished
- Tenancy dates
- Name and address of landlord or agent

If you are eligible to vote, you may also wish to contact our
