Commercial waste - information and advice

All wastes produced by commercial businesses are classified as commercial wastes (sometimes called 'trade wastes').  Unlike household waste (the costs of which are included in a household's Council Tax bill), the cost of collection of commercial waste is not covered by business rates.  Instead, a separate charge is levied for the collection, and disposal, of commercial wastes.  Carlisle City Council operates a commercial waste collection service.
