Licence - pet shop

Anyone who carries on at any premises (which could be a private dwelling) a business of selling animals as pets requires a licence. Licences are issued on an annual basis by the Environmental Quality Section and cover matters such as:

• the accommodation provided for the animals
• food and drink
• age at which animals may be sold
• precautions taken to prevent the spread of disease
• fire and emergency precautions
