Stray Dogs

Our enforcement officers:

• Enforce the law relating to stray dogs and operate a service for the seizure of stray dogs including contract management of the dog warden service.
• Manage the dog warden service and refer complaints regarding stray dogs to the dog warden within one working day. To contact the Dog Warden at the Animal Refuge & Hospital please telephone 01228 560082
• Outside office hours, at weekends and on Bank Holidays, Carlisle City Council has a contractor who will pick up dogs that have been contained, they can be contacted on 07802 984725.
