What is a registered childminder?

A registered childminder is someone who provides flexible daycare in their own home for other people's children.

Many childminders are willing to work early in the morning and late in the evening.  Some will offer overnight and weekend care.  This can be a great help to parents who do not work 9 to 5.

Cumbria County Council provide services for childminders as part of their childrens services.
