Why are you making changes?

We are reviewing our priorities so that we can restructure the authority and develop our services so that we can meet future challenges.

We are carrying out this review because we have to make some major financial savings. The government also wants us to deliver our services in a more efficient and cost effective way. We must also make sure that the services we provide are meeting your needs and concerns.

What are the proposed new priorities?

We are concentrating on two clear areas:

• Carlisle’s Environment
• Carlisle’s Economy
