Jane Muller Associate Director of Public Health and new Chair of Carlisle & Eden CDRP said

‘’I am delighted to be appointed as the new Chair of Eden and Carlisle CDRP. I have been a member of the leadership group for the past four years, which under the leadership of the retiring Chair Mary Robinson has been an extremely successful, strong and very effective partnership.’’

‘’I welcome the challenge of taking this work forward with one of the first key tasks being the strategic assessment and reviewing the plans for future activity to ensure that we stay focussed on the task in hand in brining together the authorities responsible for crime and disorder strategies within the two districts to bring about a reduction of crime, disorder, antisocial behaviour and substance misuse. I would also like to ensure that the profile of the work is high on the local agenda.’’

Mary Robinson outgoing Chair of Carlisle & Eden CDRP said:

‘’I would like to wish Jane Muller all the best with her new role as Chairman of Carlisle & Eden CDRP and hope she enjoys the new role. I would also like to sincerely thank all those staff from across the partnership organisations who have over the last four years that I have been chair worked so hard to get the brilliant results in the reducing of all areas of crime across both of our districts and made a complex partnership work so effectively, they are too many to mention but they will know who they are.’’

Cllr Olwyn Luckley portfolio holder for Health and Community Development said:

‘’Mary has shown considerable dedication to the role of Chair of Carlisle & Eden CDRP during the last four years, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to working in partnership with the local community to significantly address crime and disorder issues throughout both areas, helping to ensure Carlisle and Eden remain one of the safest places in the country in which to live, work and visit. I am sure Jane will continue in this vain, bringing with her considerable partnership working experience and an in depth knowledge of Carlisle and Eden CDRP gained during her last four years as a member of the Leadership Group, I look forward to working with her in the months and years ahead.’’
