How to apply for a grant

Grants are now available for young students from Carlisle.

To apply you:

• must be aged under 25 on 1st October 2009
• must be residents (or children of residents) of Carlisle
• must be:

due to attend full time courses this autumn at a university or institution of further education (awards are usually made in October, application forms must be returned by mid February 2009) Application form A; or

a graduate undertaking, or wishing to undertake, higher studies or obtaining professional qualifications (awards are made in both March and October, application forms must be returned by mid February or mid September 2009 respectively) Application form B; or

a student who has to travel in this country or abroad as part of your course (awards for travel grants are usually made in March, , although awards may also be considered at the October meeting, with a mid-February 2009 deadline) Application form C.
