Parks and open spaces - maintenance

Carlisle City Council owns and manages 550 hectares of parks, formal gardens, grass verges, street trees, and green spaces.

Carlisle City Council undertakes routine grass cutting in urban areas, together with tree and hedge pruning, shrub and flower bed maintenance.

Areas of grass which are maintained by the Council are cut on a periodic rota.  Continued bad weather can delay grass cutting.
