Littering

Cigarette ends are litter

Littering comes under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and Clean Neighbourhood and Environment Act 2005.

Throwing litter is unacceptable. It creates a dirty, unsightly environment and attracts rodents. Chewing gum and cigarette ends are classed as litter so please use the bins provided or dispose of litter sensibly.

Anyone caught littering may receive a fixed penalty notice of £75-00 or prosecuted through the courts.
