FREE events and activities will be spread across Carlisle's parks
and green spaces, offering something for everyone.
Get Growing Carlisle (Saturday 21 July 10am -
4pm, Carlisle City Centre)
Visit Carlisle's 'pop-up' allotment for entertaining and
inspiring ideas for growing your own produce.
With support from 'Here We Grow with Dobbies' and The Lanes
Shopping Centre, you'll be able to sow seeds, get advice from
experts, do activities and sit on the grass to watch the
entertainment, including local celebrity chef John Crouch
demonstrating how to rustle-up mouth watering dishes using fresh
local produce.
Bitts of Music, Art and Nature (Tuesday 24 July
11am - 3pm, Bitts Park)
Nurture your wild side with musicians, artists and environmental
groups in the beautiful surroundings of Victoria Gardens, Bitts
Park. Look at nature around us; create your own mini-masterpieces;
and follow the musical trail. Children must be accompanied by a
responsible adult and please wear suitable outdoor clothing and
footwear, appropriate for the weather on the day.
Morton Community Games 2012 (Thursday 26 July
11am - 3pm, Chance's Park)
Alongside other events and activities, Chance's Park will be
hosting the 'Morton Community Games 2012'. Carlisle & District
Sport and Physical Activity Alliance Foundation will be offering a

yourself into getting prepared for the 2012 Olympic Games!
